FA Cup Live Blog Liverpool v Blackburn – Welcome to football betting tips site FC Bodog’s live FA Cup Liverpool v Blackburn blog. Liverpool start the game as strong favourites at betting odds of 1.30 to win the game with the  visitors trading at 12.00 and the draw at 5.50.

2 mins. A worrying collision between Liverpool defender Martyn Skrtel and Blackburn’s muscular striker Rudy Gestede sees the Slovakian floored and apparently seriously injured. Medics are on the pitch and we just hope the big man is okay. He is stretchered off the pitch wearing a neck brace as a precautionary measure. He is given standing ovation after an eight minute delay. Kolo Toure replaces him.

11 mins play resumes with the Blackburn fans, some 7,000 of them in good voice.

12 mins Rudi Gestede out-jumps the entire Liverpool defence to post a warning that he’s going to be a real handful today.

13 mins reports are coming through Skrtel is okay and not as a seriously injured as first thought, but Liverpool will miss his heading ability today.

15 mins Daniel Sturridge runs into an on side position from a Jordan Henderson pass but can’t quite collect – a chance missed for the home side.

16 mins Liverpool  take control with some short sharp quick passing between Sturridge, Philippe Coutinho and Raheem Sterling but the resulting corner comes to nothing.

18 mins it is clear that Blackburn are happy to sit deep but that’s just inviting Liverpool pressure. Adam Lallana goes down in the area from an Adam Kilgallon challenge and in front of the Kop there’s claims for a penalty but the ref  waves claims away. TV replays show that Lallana had a case for a penalty.

22 mins Glen Johnson has to chest an awkward Blackburn cross behind. Rovers are building pressure nicely.

24 mins Blackburn win another corner and Gestede, born in France, again climbs head and shoulders above the Liverpool defence but is unable to provide a killer header.

26 mins Another good Blackburn break cut out by Liverpool defender Dejan Lovren. The away team are growing into this game and are looking increasingly confident.

27 mins Rudi Gestede is denied a right foot volley from 10 yards by Sterling. Replays show that the Liverpool player handled the ball.

30 mins still 0-0 Hmmm. Those Liverpool win odds have crept up to 1.36.

31 mins. Craig Conway wastes a glorious chance to put this visitors from 18 yards. He’s left unmarked on the edge of the area but fails to teat Simon Mignoley and shoots high and wide.

32 mins GOAL! But it’s ruled offside. Kolo Toure is the player denied by match officials.

35 mins Liverpool are getting on top again. Sterling is testing Blackburn’s right flank.

37 mins Blackburn are playing with plenty of belief and every time they knock the ball into the Liverpool area it causes panic. Gestede really has put the wind up Liverpool’s rearguard.

40 mins Blackburn are clearly the side with the greater threat here. Liverpool now 1.45 odds with Rovers at 10.00.

42 mins Gestede holds the ball up so well for Rovers and it is creating time and space for team mates to get forward. At the moment they look like the most likely to score first. The visiting fans are taunting Liverpool supporters with the line “shall we sing a song for you?”

45 mins Emre Can gets yellow carded for pulling back Tom Cairney who was heading for the Liverpool area at speed.

47 mins Blackburn keeper  Simon Eastwood makes his first save of the game, but its an easy one from Lazar Markovic.

50 mins it’s still 0-0 and the latest betting reads Liverpool 1.55 FA Cup odds, Blackburn 8.50 FA Cup odds.

51 mins Eastwood makes his first proper save. A stinger of a shot from Sturridge from 15 yards.

That’s half time folks with EIGHT extra minutes because of the Skrtel knock. Anyone who backed Liverpool at 1.30 before the start will be a bit worried. Blackburn look organised and lively.

We’re about to get underway at Anfield again and the markets are reacting to Blackburn’s first half efforts. Liverpool are trading at 1.57 FA Cup odds with Blackburn 8.00 and the draw is 3.25.

One thought to bear in mind for in-play punters. Liverpool are a second half team in this season’s FA Cup. They’ve scored six times in the second half and just once in the first during their run so far.

47 mins Craig Conway wins a corner in front of the Kop. Mignolet makes an amazing save to deny Baptiste’s header. Ohhh that was almost 1-0 to the underdogs!

50 mins Sturridge has a shot blocked after a dangerous Reds’ attack. This game is livening up.

53 Liverpool wont want a replay at Ewood Park. Blackburn have knocked out Stoke City and Swansea this season.

56  mins Sturridge is denied a penalty when he’s  tuggged back by Matt Kilgallon. The referee misses it.

57 mins it’s now Liverpool FA Cup odds of 1.83. Ouch for those who steamed in for the Reds’ pre-game price of 1.30.

58 mins Mario Balotelli enters the fray as a substitute.

59 mins Oh dear Kolo Toure has just missed with a point-blank range header. Should have  scored. Liverpool manager Brendan Rodgers is starting to pace the touchline nervously.

63 mins heavy spell of pressure now from Liverpool. Blackburn are starting to look tired. Lots of possession for Liverpool  but still unable to find the all important break through.

64 mins signs of frustration from one or two Liverppol players. Dangerous free-kick awarded on edge of Blackburn area. It comes to nothing as Coutinho smashes it into the wall.

Blackburn have only kept a clean sheet in ONE of their last 14 matches. Will they buckle today? Liverpool have 24 mins to find a winner. But by the same toke so do Rovers!

68 mins Blackburn enjoy some possession finally. They’ll need to give themselves a rest from the respite.

69 mins Balotelli shoots aimlessly high and wide from 25 yards. What a wasteful effort from the Italian!

71 mins the game is slowing a little. Blackburn still look very compact. Liverpool  are now available at FA Cup odds of 2.38, Blackburn are 10.00, the draw is 2.60. A replay looms.

75 mins a looping cross from Lallana is met by Balotelli but he fails to direct it goalwards under pressure from Blackburn defenders.

76 mins Gestede wins a dangerous downward header in the Liverpool area but Cairney isn’t quick  enough to catch it.

79 mins good skills from Balotelli wins a free kick out wide on the left but Coutinho’s cross is awful. Again very wasteful.

80 mins Balotelli involved again but his effort from 20 yards is too tame to test the Blackburn keeper. Ten minutes to go and Liverpool are cranking up the pressure.

82 mins Jordan Henderson smashes one goalwards from 12 yards but the effort is blocked. Rovers are hanging in there.

85 mins how has Sterling missed that cross from Johnson? The floating effort from the right escaped everyone.

87 mins Great passive move from Blackburn helps ease the pressure but it ends in a yellow card for Cairney who shows a high boot to Balotelli.

88 mins with two minutes left on the clock it’s Liverpool FA Cup odds of 7.00 with Blackburn 29.00 and the draw 1.08.

90 mins the Rovers fans are in full cry as they sing “I’m Rovers til I die, I’m Rovers til I die, I know I am, I’m sure I am. i’m Rovers til I die”.

90 (+2 mins) Final Whistle! That’s a magnificent result for Rovers who now have a fine chance of beating Liverpool in the replay. As mentioned earlier they’ve taken care of Stoke and Swansea and it would be no huge surprise to see them oust Liverpool.
