A surprise could happen in the third round of the FA Cup when Portsmouth host Ipswich. This game will be played on Tuesday, January 19th at Fratton Park at 19:45.

This will be the second meeting between these two teams in the tournament, as two weeks ago they drew 2-2 at Portman Road. The Blues avoided the defeat at home thanks to a goal from Ryan Fraser with two minutes left to play.

Portsmouth have won only one of their past four games in all competitions, but they are located in the fifth place in the English League two standings with 44 points, 11 away from Plymouth Argyle.

The good news for the Pompey is that they have had a good season at home with five wins, seven draws and only one defeat, scoring 24 goals and allowing seven, the fewest by any team so far in the local tournament. Their only loss in their pitch was against Exeter by 2-1 four months ago.

Despite Portsmouth will be at home, take Ipswich Town to win on the road by one goal and advance to the fourth round for the first time since the 2009-109 season.
