I can name several great strikers in the world, but none has the amount of talent and resources Robert Lewandowski has when he’s in front of the goal. Lewandowski is in my eyes the most dangerous striker in the world, and he seeks to prove with Poland in the next Euro 2016.
The Polish striker had his best moments with Borussia Dortmund, getting to the Champions League final in 2013. Now as part of Bayern Munich his presence and brand have increased all over the World.
A guy who is 1.84 m shouldn’t be able to dominate the ball like he does. We know Lewandowski can scores headers whenever he wants, but what’s truly astonishing is his movement to get always in front of goal. But also, the idea of having a defender to surpass is not even a problem; he’s a technician with a delicate touch.
“I do have to say that this question was asked a number of times quite recently and I do have to confirm that for the time being, Robert Lewandowski is the best number nine in the world,” Poland boss Adam Nawalka said.
Robert Lewandowski Euro 2016 Betting Odds rated him at 11.0 to finish as the top scorer in the completion. He had a remarkable stat of 10 goals in the qualifying stage in 13 games. He now has 34 goals in 73 matches with Poland since his started his career with the National team in 2008.
Lewandowski and the rest of the Polish team will have to face Northern Ireland, Germany, and Ukraine in the group stage of the Euro 2016. At the online sportsbook Bodog, they are second favorites to advance listed at 7.0 behind Germany, who is the favorite to win it all.
When he and his Nation hosted the Euro in 2012, Lewandowski was just a kid trying to make a name for himself. He scored one of the two goals his team had in a disappointment tournament. Yet, the player he is now is far superior to four years ago.
Lewandowski has the experience of playing in the most difficult games in European tournaments, and he has dominated them. If Poland can figure out a way to maximize his talents and impact on the game, they will have a lot of chances to get to the second stage, and perhaps be one of the surprises of the tournament.
How far can they go? It is entirely up to Robert Lewandowski’s momentum in June.
