Manchester City are close to advance to their second Capital One final in the last three years, but first they will have to face Hull City in the quarterfinals. This match will be played on Tuesday, December 1st at Etihad Stadium at 19:45.

The Citizens won the Cup two years ago after beating Sunderland 3-1 at Wembley Stadium. The Black Cats open the scoreboard with a score from Fabio Borini, but the came from behind with goals from Yaya Touré,  Samir Nasri and Jesus Navas in the second half.

They are looking for their fourth title in the League Cup in their history. Before winning in 2014, the team led by Manuel Pellegrini did it in 1970 and 1976. Their only defeat so far in a final was in 1974.

Manchester City come to this game after beating Southampton at home 3-1 in the Premier League with goals from Kevin de Bruyne, Fabian Delph and Aleksandar Kolarov. They are tied to Leicester City in the first place in the standings with 29 points.

Hull City will try to beat a Premier League rival for the third straight round in this tournament, as they have eliminated Swansea City and Leicester City. It has been the performance of Steve Bruce’s team in this tournament in their history, as they have never passed the fourth round.

In their first season in the Championship since 2012, the Tigers are located in the fourth place in the table with 35 points, only three away from the leader (Brighton & Hove  Albion), after the first 18 games. They have two straight games with no victory and last weekend they fell 2-0 to Derby at home.

Argentine striker Sergio Aguero is in doubt for this game after he injured his right ankle in the victory against Southampton. If he can play, he is the favorite to score the first goal in this match and is listed with 3.5 Odds. El “Kun” is followed by Wilfried Bony with 4.5 and Kelechi Iheanacho with 5.0.

Even if Aguero can’t play, take Manchester City to win this game by two or more goals and be a step closer to another title game.
